Zürcher GLAM-Community Meeting

The DSI Community Libraries originally planned to organise a ‘pre-event’ for GLAMhack 2025. However, as GLAMhack 2025 has been postponed by one year, the event has been reorganised and renamed the ‘Zürcher GLAM-Community Meeting’. We invited people from GLAM institutions in Zurich. There were 15 participants from the ETH Library, the Zurich Central Library, the Zurich State Archives, the Rietberg Museum and the University Library Zurich.

We had three input presentations:

• Patrick Arneke (Kanton Zürich, Statistisches Amt): «Deep-Research-Pilotprojekte KTZH»
• Elias Kreyenbühl (Zentralbibliothek Zürich): Aus den aktuellen Lab-Entwicklungen: Datenextraktion mit GPT und Daten aus Swisscollection
• Tim Rüdiger and Anina Steinmann (Staatsarchiv Zürich): Big Questions und Quick Fixes

All three presentations cover the topic of AI. Both the presenters and participants are very interested in the topic. This event provided a valuable opportunity to share experiences and knowledge about GLAM data analysis using AI.
